For continuing education in any foreign country, obtaining a student visa is undoubtedly the most important step. If you intend to study at Malaysian universities, you must obtain a Malaysian student visa before entering the country, as registration and legal residence in Malaysia are not possible without it. The Malaysian student visa process begins with submitting the required documents and paying the relevant fees and ultimately leads to the issuance of the Visa Approval Letter (VAL), which in some cases is also referred to as eVAL.

In the following sections, we explain the steps for obtaining a Malaysian student visa, the required documents, and the associated costs.
The first step, all of which is handled by eduyar, is obtaining an admission letter with the required specifications from Malaysian universities for visa purposes.

The second step involves obtaining the Visa Approval Letter (VAL), which has the same legal value as a Malaysian student visa. After the university registers and announces your admission, your file is prepared for submission to the Malaysian Immigration Department and the EMGS organization.
At this stage, by submitting the required documents to this organization, you proceed to the payment stage for issuing the Visa Approval Letter. The amount of this fee depends on the university or college, the level of study, and the duration of the program.

Finally, payment of the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) issuance fee is only possible through payment systems such as JOMPAY or banks within Malaysia. In this regard, eduyar is ready to provide online payment services for the Malaysian student visa approval letter fee to EMGS for applicants wishing to study in Malaysia.

The third step begins when the VAL letter is issued by the Malaysian Immigration Department and sent to you. Upon receiving this letter, you officially have the approval for a Malaysian student visa. At this stage, there are two important letters in your file: first, the university admission letter you received in the first step, indicating that you have been accepted as a student; and second, the Malaysian student visa approval letter (VAL), which serves as the legal authorization to proceed with the remaining steps and enter Malaysia. With these two documents, your file is complete, and you can begin the next stage, which is carried out inside Iran.

The fourth step involves an in-person visit to the Malaysian Embassy in Tehran to apply for the SEV (Single Entry Visa). After receiving the VAL letter, the student (or a representative of eduyar) must visit the embassy to apply for the initial entry visa. This visa, known as the Single Entry Visa (SEV), is usually valid for two months and allows you to enter Malaysia only once so that, after arrival, the final stages of your student visa can be completed within Malaysia. This visa plays a crucial role, as entry and final university registration are not possible without the SEV. Therefore, after receiving the VAL, visiting the embassy and obtaining the SEV is one of the most essential steps before traveling to Malaysia.

It should be noted that eduyar provides all SEV application services for students through its official legal representative.
